The dyes have that smooshy quality which tells me to avoid the use of Oxy products because it may make the dyes run. There is some light storage staining along a couple of folds by the label. The remnants of what might be a price tag in the middle of a flower bunch. Hopefully that will wash out. CAHP Moonflower NWT Napkins Vintage Tablecloth This has to be one of the most spectacular California Hand Prints tablecloths! Huge morning glories or moonflowers in pink around the outside on a green band. This one has four matching napkins and the original paper label with the pattern name Moonflower. There is light storage staining both along the edges and in the center. It is visible but not horrible. This isnt the deep fold staining you sometimes see. Fabulous Fall Poppies NWT Vintage Tablecloth I was so excited to see this tablecloth! Pretty clean! Great example of Color-fornia design! This one is even printed on a heavier weight cotton, heavier than the usual weight. It may even have a small amount of linen, I cant tell for sure. The paper label lists the pattern name as Poppy. Unfortunately when I opened it up, I noticed a fabric flaw about an inch in size. I guess I would just enjoy the cloth as is. Maybe add an iron on patch to the back to stabilize it? Deep Floral on Linen MWT Napkins Vintage Tablecloth Great simple pattern in magenta, cornflower blue, pink and grass green on an off-white linen ground. Has four matching napkins. All pieces have a coordinating magenta edge stitch. The magenta is towards the burgundy side but is not as red as burgundy. Has an original paper label that identifies the tablecloth as hand printed linen made in Ireland. It is stunning! There are a couple of small spots near the label as shown. One looks like it could be blue dye. A couple of tiny spots will hopefully wash out. Early Red Floral Plaid MWT Vintage Tablecloth This unusual cloth looks very early to me. About the same time period as the Leda cloths printed on a similar cactus cloth or linen burlap. The colors are smudgy and they have very little detail. Those are both hallmarks of 1930s tablecloths. The original label from Sunshine Washing Colors is attached. Some age staining to the part exposed by the label. Some dye faults with smudging off the lines. Another sign of an earlier hand printed tablecloth. Pink on Gray Polkadots Vintage Tablecloth I love this tablecloth! It's gray and pink, more of my favorite colors. However, it came with a really, really nasty big yellow stain. I soaked it multiple times and the stain faded. It is now only slightly visible on the table. Unfortunately the colors faded too. However, it is still a pretty great tablecloth in heavier cotton. While ironing I realized that there may be a slight cleaning residue left in the tablecloth but quite frankly I am tired of looking at it, it needs to find a new home. Yellow Brown Floral MWT Vintage Tablecloth This pretty fall colored tablecloth has the original paper label from Queen Anne Printed on Indian Head Cotton. The Queen Anne cloths are highly sought after by some collectors because they made such pretty cloths! The label lists the pattern name as Petunia which is a mystery to me because the flowers look more like cherry blossoms. Extremely minimal age staining with one smudgy spot by an edge as pictured. Some tiny dye spatters around the printing plus some minor offsets as happens with these handprinted cloths. Has very light typing along one selvedge which reads Indian Head. It is not obvious. Early Hollyhocks Lattice MWT Vintage Tablecloth This wonderful early linen cloth has the paper label attached. I dont know who the manufacturer is but the label has a pine tree similar to the Leda label. It is about the right timeframe too. The pattern name is Lattice. I thought originally that this was morning glories but the leaves look closer to hollyhock to me. Bright colors on a natural linen ground. Unfortunately the tablecloth seems to have rubbed against something and the folded edge by the label seems to be wearing through. Hopefully someone can save it to use or keep it as is for the label. Large Pansies on Green Vintage Tablecloth Wonderful Calloway pattern with peachy pansies on a nile green border. You usually see this pattern in blue and pink. Green was an unstable dye until chemical dyes from Europe became widely available in the late 40s. It does have a handful of nickel sized light yellow spots that are visible but not obvious. The very edge of about 3 inches of selvedge is stained but I dont know how. It is not obvious either. The fabric is just heavier than sheeting, smooth and pretty. There are four hems but that goes along with the label which describes the printing as hand blocked. It seems hand printed and old. Rayon Roses on Aqua Vintage Tablecloth You all know how I feel about high rayon content tablecloths by now. Rayon carries color like nobodys business but it is also prone to holes, especially when roughly handled while wet. This tablecloth shows both of those hallmarks of rayon cloths. It is one of the brightest tablecloths I have had. Stunning in the bold colors. Very pretty! It also has a small pinhole in the white center of the cloth. One quarter inch light spot by an edge. This tablecloth is heavier than most rayon cloths. I might touch the back of the pinhole with fraycheck and handle carefully. No oxy! Enjoy the bright pattern. Pretty Primary Floral on Red Vintage Tablecloth This tablecloth is impossibly sweet! I dont usually love primary florals but this one is special. It is delicate in the flowers yet bold in the stripe. There are two very light yellow stains in one corner outside the border that I did not try to remove. When measuring I found a tiny light yellow spot that is really hard to see. Has a sewn in Queen Anne on Indian Head Cotton tag. Roses on Taupe Cutter? Vintage Tablecloth Another gorgeous but imperfect floral. BIg pink roses with pink bows and turquoise flowers on a taupe or gray ground. Textured cotton rayon blend with the original sewn in Simtex tag. There is a small hole in the center field plus a couple of tiny broken threads. A couple of light yellow stains that are hard to see and faded when the tablecloth was soaked. One cluster of yellow glue marks affecting the flower cluster in one corner as pictured.
