HTF Marion Dorn Drums Vintage Tablecloth Wonderful design from Marion V Dorn, one of the most important female midcentury textile designers. She designed in England prior to the 1940s but moved to the US and designed for Simtex among others. This drum design reminds me of the Luther Travis patterns for Fallani and Cohn but I cant find anything that says she designed for them. It is not perfect unfortunately. It is somewhat faded, has a small hole and several stains that did not come out in an oxy soak. Still, it is a hard to find cloth from an important early 20th century designer. Ivan Bartlett Barbeque Vintage Tablecloth This great Leacock tablecloth can be found in the tagged tablecloth archive. The pattern name is Cook Out. I have seen fewer of this green color than I have seen red. Now this tablecloth was burlap colored when I got it. It ran brown in the Oxy soak. I think it lost some of the background color but it could have also washed out some tobacco or other age staining. Now it is a light oatmeal color. It is somewhat faded with a few slightly lighter small spots in the border. There are about four faded stains in the center area that are visible but not obvious on the darker background. Size: 86 X 53 Fabric Content: Midweight linen Dye Condition: Somewhat faded Holes/Tears: None Stains: About four in the center area. Funky Blue Roosters Vintage Tablecloth This fun tablecloth has a few issues. It has a tiny pinhole out in the blue border. Perhaps Fray Check to stop it growing? It has some weird fading to parts of the blue border. There are a very few light gray spots, mostly outside the border. Still a fun to use cloth. Cowboy General Store Vintage Tablecloth Great pattern with things you would find at a general store in the wild west. Boots, lanterns, yokes, carpet bags. Would be great for a country themed barbeque! I think this may be either a Marlene Linens or Startex tablecloth as they both made repeating patterns like these on cloth thinner than the repeating Wilendurs. It does have some overall fading. The overall picture is closest to the color, the close ups are more washed out than in person. Also some light spots that are hard to see with the busy pattern. Green Bucilla Chef Waitress Vintage Tablecloth I think this tablecloth is a Bucilla. I have had it now in red, green, yellow and blue, despite it being a harder to find tablecloth. This one is a great lime green but it does have slight damage. I am passing along this one and the red. I sold the blue last year and I am keeping the yellow for myself :o) The black is a little more faded on this tablecloth. There are three small worn spots as pictured. Several other pinholes or places starting pinholes. You should patch the holes before washing again. One tufty corner. Cartoon Dutch People Vintage Tablecloth Adorable pattern! I have never seen it before. The best cartoon faces. Bright colors of yellow and blue on white sheeting. Some of these sheeting weight cloths are hard to find because people loved them to death. Wash this carefully and it will last well. There are about 3 small smudgy gray spots on the back by a corner that are just barely visible on the front. One slightly lighter area on a boys pants which I suspect is a printing error. Very slightly out of square. Rare Candelabra NWT Napkins Vintage Tablecloth This tablecloth is pretty rare. I have only ever run across it two or three times. This one has both the original paper label as well as four matching napkins. The manufacturer is Aristocrat Prints. There is some age staining along some of the folds and on the napkins. I dont know if the napkins will all soak out if you chose to use the tablecloth. There is an offset to the printing on one side of the cloth, the worst is shown. According to Pam Glasell in Vintage Souvenir Tablecloths and Linens, it was produced from 57-59 by D&W Mail Order. It is somewhat faded, a little more than it looks in the pictures. Here it is with the original paper label and only some very light age staining, barely visible in a couple of places. There is a small fabric flaw but otherwise this tablecloth is perfect. Rare Victory Garden Gardening Vintage Tablecloth This tablecloth is hard to find. It was printed on sheeting weight cotton and I think many of them just wore out. I think this is likely a war era tablecloth made to encourage people to plant their own vegetables. I am only parting with it because I have a damaged one in burgundy. These are the only two tablecloths of this pattern that I have been able to find. The only issue I can find is a gentle fade. This tablecloth has been reproduced by Moda but this is guaranteed to be an original with two hems and two selvedges. HTF Fairytale Aqua Vintage Tablecloth I LOVE this tablecloth. I have only found it maybe 3 times. I have it in my own collection. Mine is soft and fuzzy like a flannel blanket. Now that I see it nearly new, it is a heavy weight rayon/cotton blend. I suspect someone put mine in a dryer at some point, absolutely should not be done with rayon blends. Not that ANY vintage tablecloth should ever go into the dryer. So you should wash it carefully but this wont hole like the really thin ones do. I love the people. The horse is great and their little faces are just adorable. The only thing to report is a few stray threads sticking out of the hem. 60s Pink Dishes MWT Napkins Vintage Tablecloth Sorry about the blue pictures, the camera is picking up a reflection from my walls again! This tablecloth has an unusual feel. I think it is a cotton/rayon blend but with a wider weave than most vintage tablecloths. It has an overlock edge and that always says 60s to me. There used to be six napkins but now there are only five. It has a slight smell from being in a bag for decades but that should wash out the first wash. Tammis Keefe Kitschy Jars Vintage Tablecloth This tablecloth is a big wow! I knew it was a funky 60s design like those from Tammis Keefe and Pat Pritchard but couldnt find a signature. While taking pictures, it jumped through the viewfinder at me! Faded and hard to see, but definitely Tammis Keefe. A great charcoal gray background is unusual for vintage tablecloths. Stuff in the jars includes candy, goldfish, leaves and fruit. A good bigger size too! The colors are gently faded as happens on these linen cloths. There is one light stain by a selvedge as pictured. Palms Beach Umbrellas Linen Vintage Tablecloth Love this bold pattern! Burgundy palm trees with bold yellow leaves and blue beach umbrellas. There is a light stain near the border that I am a little concerned about. I dont know what it is and it didnt come out in an Oxy soak. I would wash it carefully in the future.
