Early Mexican Pottery MWT Vintage Tablecloth From the look of the paper label and the tablecloth itself, this is a fairly early cloth. 30s I would guess. It is hand printed and some of the simple printing is out of alignment. The original paper label lists the manufacturer as Victory Hand Prints and the pattern name as Pottery. Campbells Kids Thanksgiving Vintage Tablecloth I always think of this as a Thanksgiving tablecloth even though it has the Campbell's kids. It also always makes me want cream of tomato soup! A novelty cloth I have in my own collection, this is an extra. The pattern is gently faded and there are a couple of yellow stains that have faded and are barely visible on the table. So sweet! Unusual Russian Dancers MWT Vintage Tablecloth Curiouser and curiouser! I have never had this bizarre tablecloth before! The original paper label is attached from Maxtex, a company I have never heard of, not listed in the books. The printing is rudimentary with grinning (spaces between the colors) and some offset to the design, more noticeable in some places than other. The faces have little detail. It is printed on sheeting cotton which tells me this is probably an early 40s hand print. Some medium age staining in a couple of places on the fold. Rare Shabby Bathing Beauty Vintage Tablecloth This tablecloth is hard to find. It is also a little well loved. Faded with a big black stain in one corner as pictured. There is a half inch worn spot and 2-3 small holes including one in the center of the tablecloth. Still, the graphics are pretty good and there are no fugitive dyes. The background could be brighter but I am reluctant to use strong cleaners on this tablecloth. Victorian Lady Poodle MWT Napkins Vintage Tablecloth Please note that this tablecloth is burnt orange, not red as it looks in the pictures! I am going to be truly sorry when this one is gone! It is fascinating! Burnt orange on cream linen with vignettes of a lady in the park. In two of the corners, she is walking a big poofy poodle! The paper label is attached from Leacock Quality Hand Prints. The pattern name is Central Park. There are six matching napkins. Elegant Magenta Feathers MWT Vintage Tablecloth This wonderful tablecloth is spare and elegant. It has a solid magenta center (moving towards burgundy) and what look like leaves around the perimeter. The paper label lists the manufacturer as Prints Charming E/S and the pattern name is Arcadia. It is printed on that solid Prints Charming cotton/rayon blended cloth. Not as heavy as Vicray or America's Pride but much heavier than most of the Simtex blends. Very little age staining but a little dirt around the label that looks like it will likely wash out. Unusual Earlier Mexican NWT Vintage Tablecloth This old tablecloth has the most unusual colors I have ever seen on a Mexican tablecloth! Magenta, blue and green. The paper label from JS&S is stapled on and it looks to be an early one! There is significant age staining, especially on the portions around the label. It is deeper than it looks in the pictures. One quadrant of the tablecloth is affected. I dont know how much of this will soak out and so I have priced accordingly. There is also a nearby fabric flaw that looks like a ladder. I think this may be an uncommon pattern. Red Simtex Picnic Plaid NWT Vintage Tablecloth This wonderful red and white woven plaid tablecloth has the original label from Simtex. The red is woven into the fabric instead of being printed on top. I especially love the thicker red line that acts as a border close to the edges, a touch of elegance to what may have been a utility cloth for picnics or barbeques. Michele Piccolo of Dustys Vintage Linens calls these picnic plaids and has said in the past that she thinks they are the collectibles of the future. There is some fairly dark age staining along one fold that thankfully is close to the edge. If it doesnt soak completely out, it may be on the drop anyway. There are several small light drippy type marks like the one shown. It does have a slight atticky smell that you may be able to air out if you choose not to wash the tablecloth. HTF Marion Dorn Drums Vintage Tablecloth Wonderful design from Marion V Dorn, one of the most important female midcentury textile designers. She designed in England prior to the 1940s but moved to the US and designed for Simtex among others. This drum design reminds me of the Luther Travis patterns for Fallani and Cohn but I cant find anything that says she designed for them. It is not perfect unfortunately. It is somewhat faded, has a small hole and several stains that did not come out in an oxy soak. Still, it is a hard to find cloth from an important early 20th century designer. Cowboy General Store Vintage Tablecloth Great pattern with things you would find at a general store in the wild west. Boots, lanterns, yokes, carpet bags. Would be great for a country themed barbeque! I think this may be either a Marlene Linens or Startex tablecloth as they both made repeating patterns like these on cloth thinner than the repeating Wilendurs. It does have some overall fading. The overall picture is closest to the color, the close ups are more washed out than in person. Also some light spots that are hard to see with the busy pattern. Cartoon Dutch People Vintage Tablecloth Adorable pattern! I have never seen it before. The best cartoon faces. Bright colors of yellow and blue on white sheeting. Some of these sheeting weight cloths are hard to find because people loved them to death. Wash this carefully and it will last well. There are about 3 small smudgy gray spots on the back by a corner that are just barely visible on the front. One slightly lighter area on a boys pants which I suspect is a printing error. Rare Victory Garden Gardening Vintage Tablecloth This tablecloth is hard to find. It was printed on sheeting weight cotton and I think many of them just wore out. I think this is likely a war era tablecloth made to encourage people to plant their own vegetables. I am only parting with it because I have a damaged one in burgundy. These are the only two tablecloths of this pattern that I have been able to find. The only issue I can find is a gentle fade. This tablecloth has been reproduced by Moda but this is guaranteed to be an original with two hems and two selvedges. Unusual Blue Red Statues Vintage Tablecloth This tablecloth would be great for those patriotic holidays with the colors of red, blue and burgundy. It has wonderful flowers too that remind me of stencilling. It could be a later Broderie but I dont know. I am not sure what the deer are for. One light stain out by a statue in the border.
