Unwashed Bookbinders Philadelphia Vintage Tablecloth This wonderful tablecloth is a souvenir from the Old Original Bookbinders Restaurant in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. The famous makers of wonderful horseradish sauce! The tablecloth has pictures of different historical sites from this wonderful city. I have never seen this tablecloth before in my seven years of active collecting! It is unwashed but does have some light storage staining spots here and there. Unusual Orange Pomander Vintage Tablecloth This is an unusual tablecloth that I have never seen before. The colors are exceptionally bright because it is printed on rayon. I think rayon holds dye better than any other fabric. It will need gentle care because rayon is more fragile, especially when wet. It already has a few lines through the fabric, I am not sure why. A few tiny dark spots outside the border. There are some smudgy blue marks on the edges but I cant get them to show up on camera. Mod Pink Fruit Decanter Vintage Tablecloth Pink cotton with fruit and decanters in turquoise and tan. The pattern is somewhat faded and there are a few very light yellow stains. Great Green Greek Frieze MWT Vintage Tablecloth This tablecloth would be great for the archeology buff or someone planning a costume party! It has the original paper label from Leacock Quality Handprints and the pattern name Olympus. There are a few small dye faults with the largest pictured. They really fits in with the cracked friezes and is not noticeable. Faults like this are fairly common on darker colored linen cloths. I would guess this to be a 60s tablecloth with the Roslyn label and the overlock edging. The pattern name is Leaf Basket. There is some light age staining along the center fold, running the length of the table. Hopefully this will wash out and it is very light. I didnt see it at first. Shepherds Sheep Dog Ducks MWT Vintage Tablecloth Although this tablecloth has a Penney's label, I am fairly confident it is a California Handprints tablecloth. The label says that it was made and styled in California and the fabric is the ribbed cotton/rayon blend that CAHP is known for. This tablecloth is very romantic in sage green, chalk pink, burgundy and gold on off-white. Big tulips in each corner. It reminds me of that brown version of European transferware. Very pretty! 60s Blue Kitchen NWT Vintage Tablecloth Like many 60s tablecloths, this one came with the label loose in a plastic bag. Of course, I removed the tablecloth from the bag (plastic degrades) but have kept the label with the tablecloth. It is a very sweet blue, magenta, black and olive pattern with fruits and assorted serving dishes. I love the type on the cheese container and the great molded puddings in the corners! This tablecloth has a higher rayon content so I would probably avoid the use of Oxy products. The original paper label shows the manufacturer to be Floembco. Pigs Chef Barbeque BBQ Vintage Tablecloth A favorite barbeque tablecloth in a nice textured heavier weight, not the sheeting weight often found. Sized for a picnic table. The printing is still nice and bright. There is a chef with a knife, a big brick outdoor grill and five pigs. I soaked the tablecloth leaving about 3 light yellow spots, visible on the table but not obvious. They are out by the graphics. A couple of little light gray spots out by the hem. There are a few places on the hems that could use a stitch or two to stop further fraying. Red Purple Dutch Kids Cutter? Vintage Tablecloth Someone loved this tablecloth enough to surround it with stitching. For some reason, the edging is magenta which varies from the red and purple of the print. It has great bold graphics of windmills and ships with an adorable dutch couple dancing in each corner.
