Vintage Values  
Vintage value tablecloths are those imperfect cloths that I've accumulated over the years. I have several hundred tablecloths that are not quite collectible quality but would be great for dinner with the kids or for making curtains or pillows. Most have been soaked but not all have been ironed. I will do my best to describe any blems as accurately as my other cloths. They're not damaged, they're just well loved!

Shabby Gray Pastel Floral Vintage Tablecloth This tablecloth is very soft and has a tendency towards feeling flannelly. I suspect it is a rayon cloth that has been put in the dryer. Still, it is a fabulous pattern and should have some good life left if you care for it carefully. Does have the beginning of a couple of worn spots. Shabby Pink on Blue Vintage Tablecloth Very pretty but well loved rayon blend tablecloth. It is starting to show those stress lines that rayon cloths show when they have been washed a lot. Roses on Blue Cutter? Vintage Tablecloth Pretty pattern. It is somewhat faded and has two largish stains still visible after soaking. You could try careful use of a bleach pen or maybe a sunbath would fade them further. One of the stains is by an edge. A couple of smaller lighter spots in the pattern. There is also a thin spot out in the blue border. It is mostly visible when the cloth is held to the light and not a hole yet. Red Simtex Fruit Cutter Vintage Tablecloth Did I mention that I am tired of buying tablecloths online and having them come chopped down? This is the third in several months! It is a pretty pattern though. I soaked it to get rid of stains and now it has dye transfer in some areas of the white instead. There are a couple of small holes in the fruit in one corner. Hard to see. Sometimes it is just better if I quit touching a particular cloth! May be a CAHP because that is what the remnants of the tag look like, although it feels a little lightweight to be them. It has a light smokey smell. It is somewhat faded. Has a smudgy gray spot in the center and the start of about three tiny worn spots. One light small knife cut is not all the way through. Kate Greenaway Cupboard Vintage Tablecloth What is a cupboard cloth? One that looks really pretty but has issues that make it unuseable for anything else. This is a Leacock floral from their Kate Greenaway commemorative collection, circa 1946. Something used in the past has reacted with some of the dyes in the cloth, especially the green. The fabric is very thin there. It is not too noticeable, in fact the person who sold it to me didnt mention it. It is noticeable when the tablecloth is held to the light. So the damage is widespread enough that I dont recommend this as a cutter and I probably wouldnt even risk washing it again. Tan Rayon Fruit Vintage Tablecloth I have a history with this pattern. I had one of these in pink, soaked it in Oxy and was surprised to find neat little fruit shaped holes in the tablecloth. Talked to Yvonne Barineau about it and she had killed the same tablecloth! So DO NOT use Oxy on this pattern! The tablecloth has gold dye which is a bad combo with Oxy, especially when the cloth has a high rayon content. The good side to rayon is that it is nice and drapey. I suspect this is one of the Japanese post-war rayon cloths. The only thing I can find wrong is a tiny broken thread in the center area and a small stain by an edge as pictured. Tablecloths from this regular supplier smell like bleach was used to clean them.
