Wonderful Wilendurs Vintage Tablecloths  
Wilendur vintage tablecloths and the other Weil and Durrse brands like Pride of Flanders and America's Pride are considered to be the best of the best by some floral vintage tablecloth collectors. The fabric they chose was heavy and durable. The colors were bright and clear and the printing showed their attention to detail. I love the linen Pride of Flanders cloths the best of the W & D tablecloths. I like the way they drape. Wilendur(e) Christmas tablecloths can be found in the Christmas section of the website.

Wilendure Blue Lilacs Vintage Tablecloth The name of this tablecloth is Lilac Time and it is included on page 19 of Elegant Table Linens from Weil and Durrse Including Wilendur by Michelle Hayes. According to the book it was designed in 1958 by Sergei Bogdanovich. This tablecloth has four hems. I'm not really sure why but I do have other Wilendure tablecloths with four hems. It is gently faded and has some light yellow staining I can't see on the table. It also has a few black cat hairs. It arrived covered. I used my Gonzo sponge, washed it and finally used packing tape and I got most of them. At least now they're clean cat hairs!

Wilendur Fall Grapes Vintage Tablecloth This tablecloth is shown in the green version on page 117 of Elegant Table Linens From Weil & Durrse Including Wilendur by Michelle Hayes. Frankly, I like this fall coloration better. I have this somewhere in a Pride of Flanders linen too. I'll try to find it. One tiny stain and a few stray cat hairs. I've washed it and at least they'll be clean cat hairs. They must have come from a previous owner.

Wilendur Dogwood on Pink Cutter? Vintage Tablecloth Beautiful blue dogwoods on a large pink plaid with green accents. Mostly beautiful but it does have a few problems. It has a series of yellow stains as shown. It has a frayed section at one corner and a laundry marker that shows through to the front. Finally, there is a small hole in another corner. Still, it would be nice on a patio or cut it up for pillows or valances.

Wilendur Abstract Floral Vintage Tablecloth This is an unusual and bold Wilendur tablecloth with blocks of abstract flowers. The pattern is included on page 27 of Colorful Tablecloths by Yvonne Barineau and Erin Henderson. They describe this as late 30s to early 40s time period. The colors are bright but there are three light yellow stains which are not too obvious. One tiny gray stain.

Pride of Flanders POPPY FIELD Vintage Tablecloth This Pride of Flanders tablecloth called POPPY FIELD has red poppies with yellow daisies and other assorted flowers. It has the wonderful scalloped edges! Great for Spring with no holes or noticeable stains. The dye is slightly faded as seems to happen on these linen tablecloths.

Wilendure Red Long Stemmed Roses Vintage Tablecloth Wonderful bright red rose Wilendure tablecloth with sewn in tag. This vintage tablecloth is one of my favorites! Although many Wilendure tablecloths are thinner than the earlier Wilendurs, this print is usually thicker. The colors are wonderful and bright. Wilendur Blue Band NOSEGAY Vintage Tablecloth I love these multifloral Wilendur cloths. They work so well with many different colors. This one is called NOSEGAY. It has a thick blue band with little bands of periwinkle, pink, green and yellow. These colors are also included in the adorable flower bunches. The hems are thin with zigzag stitching and although they are well done, they may not be original to the tablecloth

Wilendur Gardenias on Red with Napkins Vintage Tablecloth This tablecloth seems to have been rarely used. In fact, I'm not sure the napkins have been used at all. They have taupey gardenias on a wonderful candy red background. Very elegant and would make an original Christmas presentation. The color is closest in the middle picture with the napkins Laundry marker in one corner

Pretty Pride of Flanders Yellow Floral Vintage Tablecloth Wonderful Pride of Flanders linen floral with a scalloped edge. The colors would look equally great on a Spring or Fall table. Imagine it with those wonderful Indian corn cobs! Pride of Flanders was made by Weil and Durrse, the makers of Wilendur(e) cloths. Many of the floral designs were made in both fabrics (cotton for Wilendur and linen for P of F). I don't know the name of this particular pattern. Maybe it will be in the new Weil and Durrse book by Michelle Hayes, due out this month!
